about
South East London based Will Silver is on triumphant form as he returns with latest single Maybe It’s Not Our Time yet, the follow up to March’s Voyage EP on Silver Bear Recordings.
Underpinned with a breakbeat rhythm, the track is laced with dreamy and euphoric synths throughout and conjures up imagery of dancefloor delirium – a notion explored in the coinciding video directed by close friend Fleur Adderley;
“During the time of production, I was in a good positive headspace which helped the ideas come to life, gathered mainly from great club experiences. The main trigger was listening to high-energy/ fast-tempo dance music”
Either a solitary meditative experience or shared intimately with strangers on the dancefloor, Maybe It’s Not Our Time Yet achieves the glorious balance of being both introspective and frenzied – a constant Will has embraced in an already glittering back-catalogue. His thoughtful approach to club music is capturing the attention of listeners worldwide and has drawn praise from the likes of Bicep, Four Tet and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, the latter having his track ‘Forever’ remixed by Will earlier this year.
Maybe It’s Not Our Time Yet is proof of an artist pushing dance boundaries and causing us to reflect in the process, “it's actually quite a sad track without meaning to be” Will explains “I want the track to be whatever people want it to be for them, however it makes you feel.”
